The digital revolution is transforming how more than 4.5 billion people access sexual and reproductive health care and information. The increasing use of technology provides a unique opportunity to reach vulnerable populations that are excluded from traditional healthcare systems or burdened by geographic barriers, high costs, and stigma. Women and young people increasingly turn to the internet as the first touch-point for information, including guidance about reproductive health and abortion information.

Women First Digital (WFD) is an eHealth social enterprise that operates Findmymethod.org (FMM). At WFD, we believe in leveraging the power of the digital revolution to ensure that all women, regardless of where they live, have access to a safe abortion option.

 Findmymethod.org Created in collaboration with Bedsider.org and partners around the world, shares information on contraception that is easy to understand, comprehensive, inclusive, and globally representative.

FindMyMethod is hiring for a full-time Communications Officer.

Position Description:

Promote Find My Method’s brand awareness, increase traffic to the website, and improve user reach and engagement across social media channels keeping a healthy community base.

Key duties: 

• Develop and conduct an integrated communications plan for Find My Method that encompasses both online and offline activities to promote and further develop the website, branding, and online visibility; this by collaborating with the marketing team and providing collaborative analysis and reports.
• Coordinate a team of designers and occasionally external providers to carry out communications tasks.
• Align the branding of Find My Method with all its communications products (website, social media, IEC, etc.)
• Generate, coordinate, and monitor content for the blog section of the website, and social media channels, among other communication products that may be needed to fulfil KPIs with a specific eye toward regional audiences, partnership collaboration, viral and trendy content, and potential campaign strategies; 
• Spend time researching and collaborating with the social media manager to better understand the Find My Method community, keep them engaged, and reach potential visitors and followers.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, advertising or marketing. 
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in a communications role. Experience with global audiences is strongly preferred. 
• Excellent writing (technical), editing, facilitation, message delivery, dissemination and presentation skills in English. 
• Working knowledge and fluency across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok etc.) 
• Possess and demonstrate a high-level of integrity in line with WFD’s organisational values and ethics. 
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong time management, organisational skills, and proactivity. 
• An understanding of SEO, especially linked to curating and writing blogs. 
• Experience obtaining data from social media tools, platforms and google analytics to report on trends devise recommendations.
• A strong understanding of representation and inclusivity across language, tone of voice and any visuals produced. 
• Full professional proficiency with English required; additional language proficiency preferred.
• Proficiency in design and social media management tools like Sprout Social. 
• A keen eye for detail and design. 
• Experience working as part of a multicultural, international team.
• Strong background in sexual and reproductive health or global health, with a focus on abortion care.
• Independent access to a working computer and reliable connection to the internet.
