MSW CASE MANAGER/INTERN SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
The CLC Northern California CARE Team will provide a collaborative and intensive model of legal representation and service delivery to some of CLC’s most high need clients, including youth involved in the juvenile justice system, those with high-end mental health needs, and those who have been sexually trafficked. Accordingly, the successful applicant will regularly consult with a wide array of professionals both within the firm and with system partners and service providers in the Sacramento and Placer area. The supervisor will routinely be called upon to consult with and support all CLCNC staff.
Program staff will work directly with young and emerging adult clients in and outside of the courtroom, and collaborate with a cross sector of child welfare, mental health and health services, educational, housing, workforce and other community and county agencies working with TAY ensure youth have access to necessary resources and services to prepare for life after foster care.
The position of MSW Case Manager/Intern Supervisor encompasses two main performance areas: support and supervision of the program staff which will include CARE Case Managers, CSEC Case Managers, Peer Advocates and MSW Interns; active support of and collaboration with the CLC Resource Attorney, Managing Attorney, and the other firm supervisors.
SUPPORT AND SUPERVISION OF PROGRAM STAFF
In this performance area, the MSW Case Manager/Intern Supervisor will perform some or all of the following tasks:
Provide comprehensive multidisciplinary legal services to CSEC, cross-over and Alta Regional Center youth
COLLABORATION AND COOPERATION WITH THE CLCNC ATTORNEY SUPERVISOR, MANAGING ATTORNEY, MANAGEMENT TEAM, AND REGIONAL DIRECTOR
In this performance area, the MSW Case Manager/Intern Supervisor will perform some or all of the following tasks:
QUALIFICATIONS:
MSW degree from an accredited school of social work, at least two years of post-master's social work experience, and complete University required field instructor certification. Prior supervisory, training or management experience is a plus,
Experience working with and knowledge of issues related to CSEC, cross-over and Regional Center population desired
Excellent interpersonal skills to attract, retain and motivate staff as well as to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and other professionals, caretakers, and parties to dependency actions
The successful candidate will possess the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct in order to maintain effective professional and cordial relationships with CLC program staff, attorneys, management team, and other participants in the dependency court process. The MSW Case Manager/Intern Supervisor must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with attorneys, staff, members of the management team, clients, and the public.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to integrate clinical social work practice concepts with CARE advocacy protocols, knowledge of the juvenile justice system and experience with vulnerable adolescent populations, the ability to work with the education department to design, organize, and implement clinical social work content, learning opportunities, and teaching interventions, the ability to work with diverse student cohorts from a range of backgrounds, orientations, experiences and interests, the ability to conceptualize theory and evidence-based practices, knowledge of client communities and its resources, and knowledge and implementation of agency and community partnership resources.
Must be able to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination plus booster status.
