Lutheran Volunteer Corps is a service year organization that is currently in 5 cities, Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, Wilmington, DE, The Twin Cities, and Omaha, Nebraska. We place volunteers with our amazing non-profit partnersin full-time positions for a year, while providing housing, transportation, utilities, internet, and 2 weeks paid vacation.
LVC provides programming around anti-white supremacy culture and provides "program days", retreats, and meet-up groups throughout the year. We encourage people of all faiths, spiritual traditions, or no- traditions at all. We provide community and spiritual mentors for each house in the program.
LVC holds strong beliefs regarding the inclusion and celebration of people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. We are an organization that values sustainability, social justice and intentional community woven together in a learning environment for our volunteers and greater community.
Some of our placement partners: North Star Foundation in Omaha, Lutheran Immigrant and Refugee Service in Baltimore, The Advocates for Human Rights in the Twin Cities, The Ministry of Caring in Wilmington, DE, and Joseph's House in DC. We have 33 more positions across our cities.
