Position Summary:
Humanity United is seeking a fixed-term Manager to support and contribute across the Peacebuilding portfolio’s thematic areas of programming. These areas include: building agency for collective action; wellbeing and healing for peace actors; innovative approaches to peacebuilding; and inclusive peace processes. This role will work across the breadth of the portfolio and focus on grant management and team operations.
In particular, this role will contribute to work that demonstrates the importance of following the lead of those closest to the context. They will support and accompany local actors as they harness their own agency and use their expertise and power to foster new forms of collective action, deeper relationships, and more meaningful participation.
The successful candidate will be highly relational, a strategic thinker, and have demonstrated grant management experience. They will understand that meaningful change is brought by centering those who are closest to the contexts and systems they are trying to change. Experience in project management and/or peacebuilding, international development, and humanitarian fields are a plus.
The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of how programs and operations can work seamlessly together to serve the organization’s mission. They will understand how to employ different programmatic expenditures (grants, contracts, convenings, etc.) to support the work of a diverse array of organizations and will have experience in scoping, implementing, and closing multiple grants per year.
This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. Our hybrid work approach provides ongoing flexibility for regular remote work for this position, combined with periodic in-person gatherings. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Peacebuilding. This is a full-time fixed-term, exempt position.

Salary: The salary range for this position will vary by geographic location to account for local job market & cost of living. Starting salaries within the range are based on job-related skills, experience, and background. At HU, salary progression is based on performance and proficiency in a role over time.
