A propos de GiveDirectly

GiveDirectly (GD) aims to reshape international giving – and millions of lives – by enabling donors to provide grants directly to the world's poorest people.

The Brookings Institution estimates that $70 billion in cash transfers would be needed to close the poverty gap; the aid sector currently spends $135 billion each year, much of it allocated to interventions without evidence.

GiveDirectly wants to change that, set a benchmark, and in doing so, accelerate the end of extreme poverty. GiveDirectly has raised over $700 million in revenue (>$300 million in 2020 alone), while being recognized as one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Nonprofits. GiveDirectly's role in the growing cash transfer movement has been featured in This American Life, Foreign Affairs, The Economist and Business Insider.

Cash transfers are at an important inflection point: COVID-19 has amplified the challenges of larger in-kind aid models, and governments are deploying cash as their most common tool of assistance to vulnerable populations. GiveDirectly has the ability to leverage its strong track record (which includes operations in 9 countries, over $400 million transferred to over one million people, and 15 completed or ongoing randomized controlled trials), for both have an immense impact and position itself as the world's first carried cash implementation.

We are looking for exceptional talent to grow our global team. Joining GiveDirectly means the opportunity to work alongside people from 21 countries who speak 69 different languages. In our global offices, our culture is candid, analytical, non-hierarchical and fast-paced. We value ability, adaptability and a willingness to learn. We actively work towards an equitable and inclusive environment for all team members and seek candidates who will bring diverse perspectives and experiences to our organization. We recruit from organizations across all industries: our team has experience in start-ups, government, consulting firms, investment banks, non-profits, and more.
