About the Role

In order to achieve its ambition of serving 40,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven must ensure smooth launch, execution, and ongoing success of Braven’s employer partnerships and volunteer programs across the country. In that effort, Braven is hiring an Employer & Volunteer Operations Manager who will play a critical role in creating operational excellence as the organization enters a growth phase and simultaneously expands the number of partnerships, volunteers, staff members, and Fellows in the Braven community. As a member of the Product team, you will implement initiatives to deliver a world-class experience to Braven employer partners, volunteers, and Fellows while building and codifying processes that enable teams to scale their work 5x.

What You’ll Do: 

• Collaborate with Salesforce engineers and data architects to prioritize and execute Salesforce system implementation and upgrades
• Document requirements from stakeholders and develop process maps to address their needs
• Coordinate across Braven subteams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, deadlines, and resources
• Iterate on execution resources, such as launch guides, Asana projects, and communications guides
• Lead the Employer Partner & Volunteer Scrum and work in an Agile, collaborative environment
• Support and troubleshoot issues that arise with regional execution staff and executive directors
• Analyze weekly and end-of-quarter data to determine where support is most needed 
• Maintain resources hub so that team members can easily access all materials they need
• Create and facilitate trainings with regional execution staff to ensure they feel prepared to execute employer partnerships and volunteer programs
• Onboard new regional team members to employer partnerships and volunteer programs

• Operational excellence: ability to create and follow through on project plans with strong attention to detail and deadlines
• Fluent in Excel and able to rapidly solve analytical problems
• Strong written and verbal communicator 
• Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRMs (customer relationship management platforms) is preferred
• Ability to manage others and work cross-functionally to influence and motivate teammates 
• Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data and feedback to problem-solve  
• Strong facilitator and design instinct for adult learning & development   
• Highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, data-driven, and curious
• You have a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in-person in Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL), Newark (NJ), or New York City (NYC)  
• Will be expected to work approximately 10-15 nights and/or weekends per year, coinciding with Braven events
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.   

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $56,600 - $70,800 in Chicago; $53,900 - $67,300 in Atlanta; and $61,200 - $76,500 in Newark and New York City. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. Location

When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office three days a week. Therefore, we will require this teammate to live within commuting distance of one of these 4 hubs: Chicago, New York City, Newark, and Atlanta. Each teammate can use two flex days of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
