FamilyAid is Greater Boston’s leading provider of solutions to family homelessness. Its mission is to empower parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures.
The hundred-plus year-old agency has launched bold new strategies to reduce two-generation homelessness by dramatically increasing its prevention, housing, and supportive services for children, putting the organization on a fast-growth trajectory.
To support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic, driven Youth Behavioral Health Navigator to support the agency’s deepening 2Gen approach to serve to more than 5,000 children and parents.
The Youth Behavioral Health Navigator will identify, source, and develop partnerships with other behavioral health providers, community health centers, and community resource partners. Will expand and grow the network of supports and resources available to our families and will serve as the agency’s primary “on the ground” liaison and coordinator for behavioral health service organizations and opportunities. Will work collaboratively with City and State Agencies, and other community-based behavioral health providers to identify training needs and resource opportunities for staff and families and will identify and develop new strategic behavioral health partnerships that expand service options for clients.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, or related field. Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Psychology or related field is strongly preferred. At least 5 years of professional experience working with children or families in an inpatient or outpatient behavioral health environment. Deep understanding of and experience working with local communities, local partners, and behavioral health providers and resources.
Bilingual in English and Spanish desired. Experience with Trauma Informed Care and its application across client services delivery, preferably in homelessness services. Strong commitment to helping low-income families manage the behavioral health needs of their children.
FamilyAid’s supportive, collaborative, and diverse workplace is an ideal work environment for experienced, result-oriented professionals who are driven to help children and families thrive. The agency supports professional growth, and offers competitive salaries, health, and dental plans, an employer-contributed 403b retirement plan, and a generous paid time off package.
