New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) builds power with communities of color, immigrants, poor and working people to tackle racial and economic inequality in New York. Collaborating with a diverse group of social justice and service-based organizations, we produce lifelong voters, develop leaders, and win concrete changes in people’s lives. NYCET fosters a culture of innovation and creativity by piloting and implementing tools, tactics, and organizing strategies. Through our seamless and continuous coordination of electoral, base-building, issue advocacy and mass engagement strategies, we work to create a better democracy.
NYC GOTV PROJECT BACKGROUND
NYCET is searching for a project consultant to support a NYC-based GOTV project. The consultant will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a shared voter mobilization program with a cohort of 10-12 non-profit organizations. The ideal candidate has experience working with organizations in coalition, coordinating voter contact campaigns, facilitation, training, political and/or community organizing, digital outreach, and with tools for outreach. The consultant will work in partnership with our Capacity and Data Department and the project will be overseen by the Executive Director. This is a project based consultant role at approximately 20 hours per week. Start date is immediate and will conclude on December 16, 2022.
The consultant must be based in NYC. In addition, while the role is primarily remote, the consultant must be willing to travel and conduct in-person meetings when appropriate based on public health guidance.

Compensation: $35-$50/hour depending on experience
