ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

We Will All Rise (All Rise) was organized in the Fall of 2019 and launched in January 2020, by six young men of color. All Rise is a fast-growing organization with operations in Baltimore, MD; Milwaukee, WI; Philadelphia, PA; and Washington, DC. Our mission is to activate our faith to educate, elevate, and empower all members of our community to determine our future and surmount any social, economic, or institutional barriers that may attempt to stand in our way. Our inaugural programs support young men of color through our higher education and economic empowerment initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Over the past few years, we have experienced a wonderful period of growth and have since expanded to 4 cities in the U.S. To continue on this trajectory, we are searching for our first Operations Coordinator. This role works closely with our executive team and will have an immediate impact on our productivity by streamlining strategic initiatives, communicating objectives, and everything in between. The ideal candidate is committed to our values, thrives in a growth environment and has proven experience in an administrative and/or operations capacity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Development & Improvement

  • Lead the development and implementation of processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Develop and enhance systems and infrastructure for communications and other facets of the organization
  • Develop and produce reports that monitor and measure All Rise against its goals
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to plan, develop, and implement program and organizational priorities
  • Assist and communicate with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
  • Serve as liaison between staff and senior leaders regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.

Project Coordination

  • Assist with the implementation of All Rise’s strategic plan, Rising Forward 2025: A Targeted Investment for Community Impact
  • Manage the daily operations through collaboration with senior management performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating board meetings, and scheduling facilities
  • Oversee strategic planning and ensure strategic priorities are aligned with the budget and translated into executable goals

Operations & Administrative Support

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop an ongoing talent strategy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR and talent acquisition for the organization to include organizational design, staffing, compensation, and benefits.
  • Manage the effectiveness of the talent life cycle by developing job descriptions, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and retention.
  • Cultivate a culture of equity, collaboration, accountability, and excellence among the staff.
  • Support the preparation of recurring payroll for staff
  • Conduct research to identify potential funding partners to ensure organizational success and financial sustainability
  • Serve as the liaison for strategic partners and media engagement
  • Provide logistical and planning support for conference presentations and other meetings

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred and/or managerial-level experience
  • 3+ years in an administrative and/or operations related role; experience in higher education or related field, preferred
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form, adept at relationship building and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter and solutions-oriented problem solver, who is adept at working independently at times with little direction; Ability to manage complex projects
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to initiate and collaborate with internal partners
  • Experience with writing or assisting with the development of grant proposals and non-profit fundraising
  • Demonstrated experience with project management, ideally in a non-profit/education fundraising setting
  • Strong follow-through and attention to details
  • Tech savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel and Google Drive
  • Experience utilizing customer relations management systems (CRM)
  • Knowledge and experience with HR functions, preferred
  • Experience with implementing strategic initiatives, preferred

BENEFITS

This position is Baltimore-based, however the person will be working remotely, offers paid time-off, health benefits, and a flexible work schedule. This position may require out-of-town travel for organizational events and conferences.

TIMELINE AND COMPENSATION

  • Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000
  • Ideal start is early January 2022
