Your Position with TNC
Impact Finance and Markets is the Nature Conservancy’s newly created division that will oversee and accelerate our work in impact investing, carbon markets and the growing work partnering with corporations to deliver on TNC’s 2030 goals. This division brings together pre-existing teams to form a globally dispersed staff of 60 to provide the organization with leadership, strategic guidance and partnership in conservation finance, commercial market development and corporate practices, and supply chains in key sectors.
The Impact Finance & Markets Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing a high standard of direct administrative support to the Leadership Team for the new Impact Finance & Markets Division (IFM). The Leadership Team is comprised of the Managing Director, NatureVest; Managing Director, Center for Sustainable Science; Deputy Director, Impact Finance & Markets; and the Carbon Market Strategy Lead, Carbon Markets. This team is results-oriented, collaborative, high energy, values-focused, and high impact. The Executive Assistant reports to the Deputy Director, Impact Finance & Markets.
Location for the position is at TNC's Arlington, Virginia office. There is some flexibility to work from home.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The IFM Executive Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative support tasks including calendar management, drafting correspondence, processing expenses, travel arrangements, and coordinating meetings and special events logistics. They will gain broad knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and implement tools and practices to improve efficiency. They will, at times, communicate on behalf of the Impact Finance & Markets Leadership Team and will have contact with stakeholders, including Nature Conservancy Executive Leadership Team members and their administrative partners, donors, vendors, and corporate partners.
The Executive Assistant works closely with the Impact Finance & Markets Executive Coordinator and other staff. The Executive Assistant must be proficient in Outlook and familiar with scheduling and running video conferences. Experience working with senior leadership and C-Suite level executives will be beneficial. We appreciate a collaborative, inclusive approach and encourage innovative ideas and actions.
