    Do You Have What It Takes?

    • A strong commitment to the mission of SafeHouse Denver.
    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and five years of management experience is required.
    • A graduate degree in nonprofit management, psychology, or social work is a plus.
    • Critical thinking skills are a must.
    • Experience in a human services or victim services agency, preferably in a residential setting.
    • Ability to self-motivate and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
    • A strong ability to perform the full range of activities required to operate and manage a 24/7 facility is required. This position is the primary site leader for at least two residential facilities and will be responsible for the sites and their daily operations. Must demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility for the sites and lead by example.
    • Highly skilled in crisis intervention and previous experience training staff on intervention strategies and motivational interviewing.
    • Strong computer skills: all Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and PowerPoint, digital communication systems, case management systems and more.
    • Experience overseeing contracts related to residential programming. Experience completing high-quality reports and activities to maintain compliance with funding sources, including government grants.
    • Strong writing and editing skills and the ability to write clear, structured, and articulate progress reports to the CEO.
    • Ability to meet deadlines; experience working in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Ability to foster and maintain professional effective relationships.
    • Strong ability to work independently and to be productive.
    • Deep understanding of nonprofit management, including the important role donors and community members have on the agency’s success and growth.
    • A thorough understanding of program outcomes, data collection, and analysis (data trends) is required. Proven success developing and evaluating program needs, and operationalizing innovative programming is required. Will be responsible for consistent collection of client experience surveys.
    • A high level of accuracy, extraordinary attention to detail, solid proofreading skills, and the ability to multitask are required.
    • Experience leading and developing a diverse team of service professionals is required.
    • Experience developing and reviewing policies regarding best practices and appropriate residential procedures.
    • Strong knowledge of human services and domestic violence-related issues is strongly preferred.

    What You are Expected to Accomplish

    • Fully in charge of the operations of SafeHouse Denver’s residential services including daily operations, crisis-line, and on-call coverage for emergencies.
    • Be accountable to all contractual deliverables, ensuring they are met, if not exceeded, and continually and timely communicating with the CEO to ensure residential program contracts are maintained and accurately reported.
    • Always maintain client confidentiality, while following agency, state, and HIPAA laws.
    • Develop and conduct regular training sessions for staff on how to input and manage data in the system.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for staff regarding data entry and database use to ensure the accuracy and security of client records.
    • Implement and successfully execute all agency initiatives, ensuring that all residential work aligns with the agency’s strategic goals.
    • Collaborate closely with the SafeHouse Denver Facility Manager to ensure proper condition of residential facilities for regulatory requirements and a safe and healthy community environment for everyone.
    • Provide guidance, leadership, and support to a diverse team including advocates, case managers, and other support specialists. Must be able to effectively develop staff and cultivate a healthy, supportive team environment that allows all team members to thrive.
    • Communicate effectively, and promptly, with peers, the leadership team, community members, and clients.
    • Oversee residential openings and facilitate an equitable screening process for new residential clients.
    • Consistently engage and connect with residential clients and encourage all residential staff to establish meaningful connections with survivors in residential programs.
    • Conduct safety checks, resolve problems, and properly communicate concerns to the CEO.
    • Work closely with the SafeHouse Denver Grants Manager to gather and report residential program outcomes and client narratives to private and public funders.
    • Work closely with the SafeHouse Denver Communications Manager to provide survivor narratives.
    • Work closely with the SafeHouse Denver Community Engagement Manager to ensure community activities are covered (presentation facilitation or tabling), when needed.
    • Monitor and maintain data within the case management system to ensure that all deadlines and program requirements are met.
    • Perform duties as assigned and/or as the program or agency changes or develops.
    • A reliable form of transportation is required.

    What We Offer:

    • Competitive Pay: $73,000 - $78,000 starting salary. Full-time exempt position. Annual performance evaluations with an opportunity for merit-based increases after one full year of employment.
