PPNNE is seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to fill a full time Senior Philanthropy Officer role based in Portland, ME. The Senior Philanthropy Officer is responsible for generating support for the mission of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and leading fundraising efforts by building strong relationships with current and future donors, strategic planning, and leveraging expertise in major gifts and gift planning. This position is a critical role in securing the organization’s capital and general operating needs while serving as the primary moves manager for a portfolio of about 75 to 100 current and prospective major donors.
The ideal candidate should be a seasoned fundraiser with proven experience soliciting & closing 5-7 figure gifts in addition to being creative, results-oriented, and skilled in cultivating long-term donor partnerships. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will work collaboratively across all parts of the organization and develop relationships with board members and staff volunteer leadership activities and groups that aim to stimulate or increase major gift fundraising. Other duties include supervision of any state-based Philanthropy Officers and any Philanthropy Associates and serving as the state-based strategy leader of their state, in partnership with the Senior Philanthropy Director, who leads major gifts operations.

Compensation for this position is based on years of direct work experience. Candidates with 0-6 years of experience can expect to earn between $74,568 – $83,967/yr. As experience increases, so does the rate of pay, with candidates who have 20 or more years of direct experience earning up to $110,779.50/yr
