MAINTENANCE REPAIR PERSON

GENERAL SUMMARY

Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of the physical plant. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on/within the Agency vehicles, buildings and courtyards. Assist staff in moving and storing furniture and equipment.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the physical plant in excellent condition.

Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on facility, equipment and vehicles.

Evaluate maintenance problems; consult with the Director of Administration.

Recommend replacement or repair of equipment out of service.

Coordinate and plan the moving of staff and the storing of furniture and equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED desired;

Basic Plumbing / Electrical / Carpentry knowledge;

Valid Louisiana Driver’s License required;

Knowledge of basic automobile maintenance / repairs;

Preferred experience in a residential facility
