Summary:
The Strategy and Collaboration Coordinator will work closely with community leadership and partners in an effort to achieve functional zero on behalf of all homeless populations in the county. The Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating and managing collaborative meetings, engaging with key stakeholders, supporting the community in achieving its goals and working towards larger system improvements. The Coordinator will leverage existing and new relationships throughout the community, and act as the connector between stakeholders, working to collectively achieve the goals set forth by the community leadership in collaboration with Built for Zero.
Responsibilities:
· Work with partners to implement the operating framework for BFZ in the community and guide ongoing strategies of the initiative.
· Maintain understanding of current progress toward goals and implementation challenges and work with partners to develop strategies to address them.
· Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and key community partners; keep them informed and be a conduit for their input and feedback.
· Create tools, resources, and supports to attract frontline staff into the improvement work; Improve the Coordinated Entry process to accelerate “flow” through the housing process and expand and improve cross-sector partnerships to ensure evidence-based resources are available to clients throughout the coordinated entry process.
· Participate in Built for Zero and other technical assistance or system development opportunities.
· Incorporate Coordinated Entry housing barriers into strategic decision making.
· Develop content expertise on design systems that continuously drive reductions in homelessness.
· Provide direction and support to partner organizations in aligning their work (e.g., identifying opportunities for program work to support specific goals and align resources)
· Embrace and build will in the community around an improvement mindset.
· Reviewing data reports with community leadership to ensure accuracy and quality to support the community’s projects and the work of homeless service and housing providers.
· Working in collaboration with HMIS leads and community leadership to prepare high-quality and accurate data reports for community communications, from the BfZ campaign to the local, State, and Federal governments as well as other stakeholders, including Annual Performance Reports, System Performance Measures, and Evaluation Reports.
*Some work can be performed remotely. The nature of partnerships and collaboration for this position requires the candidates to live within or in close proximity to Montgomery County, MD.
