The MG Eligibility and Data Specialist “Specialist” position serves as the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ expert on client eligibility for the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) funded Matching Grant (MG) Program. The Specialist must maintain a thorough knowledge of ORR eligibility requirements, documentation, and enrollment deadlines for refugees, asylees, Special Immigrant Visa holders (SIV), Afghan Humanitarian Parolees, Cuban/Haitian Entrants, and Victims of Trafficking, and Amerasians from Vietnam. This includes tracking Employment Authorization Document (EAD) delays across the network that may impact program eligibility.
The Specialist is responsible for reviewing all enrollment, 180, and 240-day MG program reports and overseeing the vetting of this data for compliance and accuracy in submission to federal funders. This position is also responsible for identifying trends within this data and working with the MG team to develop training and technical assistance for the network. Finally, the Specialist will be an expert on the MG components of the MRIS database and will work with the MRIS development team to resolve any issues impacting the accuracy of MG data.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, e-mail, internet, etc.
· Expert level handling of the MRIS database in the area of expertise.
· Knowledge of the Catholic Church structures and teachings
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
Education Level Undergraduate Degree preferred or experience in a related field Number of Years Required: 2-5 years. The position is located in Washington, DC.
