Exciting Opportunities with Share Food Program! We are looking for a Development Data Manager to add to our team!

Share Food Program (“Share”) is the largest-serving hunger relief organization in the Philadelphia region, and one of the largest independent food banks in the nation. Before the Covid-19 crisis began, Share distributed food to 700,000 neighbors in need each month, 36% of whom were children, and 12% of whom were seniors. The need has risen sharply since early 2020—Share now serves more than 1 million each month.

The Database Manager provides support to Share Food Program in data collection, analysis and reporting for fundraising and select program activities. This person has primary responsibility for the accurate and efficient management of the organization’s approximately 10,000 constituent database of donors and volunteers. They are responsible for receiving and processing all financial gifts, and supporting prospect research, cultivation and ongoing stewardship through the EveryAction database. In addition, this person supports data collection, analysis and reports for select programs that Share Food operates.

Core Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining database system with a constituency of 10,000 current records, including donors, funders, government agencies, board, committee members, volunteers, event registrants, vendors, and community partners
  • Entering and coding gifts and generating acknowledgement letters
  • Ensuring industry standards for overall data hygiene and individual record integrity for both donors and volunteers, and updating records as needed
  • Processing all recurring gifts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Providing reports, queries, dashboards, mailing lists and exports to support development and volunteer efforts on a routine and as-needed basis
  • Supporting the Development Manager and Chief Development Officer on “moves management” strategies by providing prospect research reports on constituents, and donor profiles as needed
  • Printing and sending pledge reminders
  • Assisting Chief Program Officer and Deputy Chief Program Officer in developing equitable and inclusive data collection infrastructure
  • Working with outside vendors to provide necessary files needed to create mailings
  • Preparing information for direct mailing campaigns, annual event and other programs
  • Establishing queries and running labels for invitations and programs
  • Develop, monitor and catalog web form submissions, sign-ups, and email addresses on a monthly basis
  • Working with Share program team on targeted surveys and data collection efforts to accurately document program activities, capture quantitative and qualitative data on how Share fulfils its mission, and providing regular and year-end reports and analyses
  • Providing technical support, maintaining best practice documentation, and training other Share team members to enhance end-user proficiency, skills, and professional development with regards to EveryAction database and data best practices.
  • Supporting planning and mapping activities
  • Additional duties as required

Preferred Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience working with a nonprofit fundraising database or CRM
  • Previous experience in development and donor relations a plus
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word and donor databases; knowledge of Every Action database and GIS knowledge a plus
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data into a user-friendly and concise format for other team members
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential constituent information.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires keyboard use or repetitive hand motion

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000 - $50,000 per year
