The Inclusive MTSS Facilitators will support eight elementary schools included in the next phase of Lake Washington’s efforts to create more inclusive school communities by creating elementary schools that welcome and support every student who lives within their attendance area, including students with disabilities formerly served in programs at other schools. As a member of their neighborhood school community, we expect that students regardless of their needs, will be engaged participants within general education classes. Facilitators are teacher leaders who serve as resources for district and building administrators and classroom teachers to implement an inclusive Multi-Tiered System of Supports. Facilitators will focus on integrating effective instruction, universal design for learning (UDL), and inclusionary practices under the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Framework. Facilitators will work in collaboration with Program Specialists and teachers on special assignment to develop and deliver professional learning to support targeted professional development, provide instructional supports, and gather resources related to an inclusive MTSS. Facilitators report to the district MTSS Project Manager. Each facilitator will be assigned to one or two schools. Washington State teaching certificate.
Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
