Position Summary

This position will provide supervision, leadership, and oversight of a workforce team of staff serving young adults. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Workforce Development Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of a new program that supports opportunity youth, ages 16-24, in three program components including contextualized academic programming at the Pre-HSE level, comprehensive High School Equivalency and work based learning and sector focused advanced training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee workforce components across the portfolio
• Supervise the Internship Manager and Employment & Transition Specialist
• Design and implement initiatives surrounding cultivation, management, and monitoring of worksite and employer partnerships to build a robust network
• Achieve all program milestones, benchmarks, and credentials at required intervals.
• Cultivate and manage relationships within OBT’s interdisciplinary team.
• Provide professional development to program staff to share best practices and improve career readiness programming.
• Evaluate program design, using participant and labor market information to make improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education/Experience/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred
• At least three years relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing staff.
• Development of programmatic systems.
• Ability to work with internal and external partners.
• Ability to manage, delegate, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Possess a deep understanding of the labor market and ability to utilize this to inform program design.
• Ability to support the team to achieve program quality and program outcomes.
