China Off-Road Transportation Researcher

The ICCT seeks a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who will contribute their intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness to off-road market research, which includes policy tracking and quantitative analysis on understanding the policy impacts on off-road decarbonization at the global, national, and local levels. You will contribute to ICCT’s off-road research development and report to an ICCT senior researcher.

 You Will:

• Lead ICCT off-road transportation research, including the work of tracking policy progress, monitoring market change, and quantifying the emission contribution from the off-road sector;
• Evaluate how current policies would affect future decarbonization efforts;
• Develop and improve off-road market databases, and analyze data to support the development of strategy in decarbonizing the off-road sector;
• Help develop communications and outreach strategies for ICCT off-road decarbonization research to both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Collaborate with ICCT staff on emerging projects based on need and perform other duties as assigned.

You Have:

• A Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree preferred) in engineering, transportation, environment, or related field, with 2+ years of experience in the off-road equipment industry;
• Experience in transportation data management, critical analysis, and climate change policy in the sector of off-road equipment; experience with off-road equipment operation/industry is a plus;
• Advanced skills in data collection, research, analytical methods, and drawing conclusions from analytical research;
• Superior proficiency with MS Office; proficiency with computational data analytics (Python or R) is preferred;
• Strong English and Mandarin communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Ability to work in teams and a collaborative research environment.

Our Benefits
