Foundation and Grants Administrator

The Volgenau Foundation (TVF) is a family foundation that awards grants to non-profit organizations supporting conservation, education, and classical music.

 ABOUT THE POSITION: The Foundation seeks an energetic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated part-time Administrator to manage its online grants management platform, monitor reporting processes and grantee communication, provide administrative support to the executive director. This is a part-time position located in TVF’s McLean, VA office, and will report to the executive director. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred. Experience with philanthropy or non-profits helpful. Must be very organized & hold the highest professional and ethical standards.

A self-starter, and problem solver with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude. Ability to work both independently and as a team player and brings a sense of humor to the job.

A critical thinker with excellent writing and editing skills. Has ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (including strong Excel skills), databases, and/or grants management platform(s).

Experience working with budgets and financial documents, as well as website development and editing, a plus.
