Deputy Administrator
Homes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is seeking an experienced operations manager to act as Deputy Administrator at a new facility opening in Hells Kitchen as one of its Community Residential Resource Centers (CRRC), which provide transitional housing assistance as well as social services and educational supports to families with children experiencing homelessness.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Deputy Administrator assists the Administrator with the direction and management of the Community Residential Resource Centers (CRRC) and provides leadership to the administrative teams at the facility, as well as its directors (including early education, afterschool/recreation, family services, maintenance, and security). The Deputy Administrator also has fully delegated authority to act on behalf of the Facility Administrator in their absence. The Deputy Administrator shall remain aware of, and make known to the Facility Administrator, the need for improvements to the CRRC, as well as any issues pertaining to the safety and security of residents and staff. The Deputy also provides critical assistance to the Administrator in providing information to the HFH Central Office as needed for oversight agencies including but not limited to OTDA, DHS, ACS, and DOE. This position reports to the Administrator or, in their absence, to Central Office executive management. Because the CRRC is operational 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, a willingness to work flexible hours is required. The Deputy Administrator must carry a cellular telephone and be “on-call” when not on the premises.
