Position Description
The Inequality Research and Editorial Associate will support the inequality team at the Institute for Policy Studies. This team strives to help reverse the maldistribution of income and wealth that is undermining our democracy, fraying our social fabric, and destroying our planet.

Reporting and Supervision
This is a full-time position, with the organization closing at 1:00 ET on Fridays. The employee will report to the Global Economy Project Director and is responsible for working collaboratively with all IPS staff, interns and fellows. This position may supervise student interns.
Location
Ideally, the Inequality Research and Editorial Associate will live in the Washington, DC metro area and work out of IPS’s DC headquarters. Currently, IPS is working on a hybrid model, and all DC employees are working two or more days a week in the DC office. We will consider exceptional candidates who need to work fully remotely.
Terms
This position is ongoing, subject to continued funding.
Salary and Benefits
The salary is $57,000 per year. The Research and Editorial Associate will also receive excellent benefits including full health insurance for the employee’s family, generous vacation benefits, paid holidays, a 403(b) match, and life insurance.
Union Position
This job is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with the Washington-Baltimore News Guild, CWA Local 32035.
