What You Will Do:
Bottom Line is seeking a dynamic and relationship-oriented Director of Individual Giving to lead individual donor engagement in Massachusetts, with a focus on securing major gifts of $5,000 or more. This role is central to achieving the region’s fundraising goals and will manage a portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects. Over the next several years, the Massachusetts region is poised for significant growth in both the number of individual donors and total dollars raised. The Director will play a critical role in driving this expansion by collaborating with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that deepen donor relationships, expand the donor base, and deliver a high-impact experience through Bottom Line’s signature major gifts program, DEAL-Makers.
Overview of the Role
The Director of Individual Giving plays a key role in advancing Bottom Line’s mission by leading individual donor engagement in Massachusetts. This position is responsible for meeting annual individual giving goals, with a focus on securing major gifts of $5,000 or more. The Director manages a portfolio of 75–100 donors and prospects, ensuring each receives a personalized and strategic engagement experience that deepens their connection to Bottom Line’s work.
In addition to managing their own portfolio, the Director supports the Executive Director and Managing Director of Development in stewarding top donors and prospects. They will also lead efforts to identify and qualify new donors by leveraging Bottom Line’s database, conducting research, and implementing a connector strategy that engages advisory board members and other champions to expand the donor base.
Collaboration is central to this role. The Director will work closely with colleagues across the development team to design donor engagement events, integrate corporate giving opportunities, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Bottom Line’s major gifts program, DEAL-Makers. This is an ideal opportunity for a strategic and proactive fundraiser who thrives on building relationships and driving growth in a mission-driven environment.

9:00a – 5:00p, 10:00a-6:00p, flexibility may be requested; additional hours as needed.
