Program Manager

Calvary Women's Services is expanding its housing and services to meet the needs of women in DC who are experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. We are seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about empowering women and excited to bring their skills, experience, and leadership to the position of Program Manager for a transitional housing program.

The Program Manager leads Calvary’s efforts to provide the highest quality transitional housing and comprehensive support services to women in a secure, safe, and well-maintained facility. The Program Manager is accountable for all aspects of the daily activities and operations of a transitional program serving women experiencing homelessness. 

The Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership to a team that includes an assistant program manager, case managers, program coordinator and resident assistants. As a member of the leadership staff, the Program Manager will also work alongside other managers and directors to promote a strong organizational culture and drive the implementation of the organization’s strategic work plans.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned program leader with a deep understanding of the transitional housing model, domestic violence services, and a commitment to empowering the staff team. Highlighted Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the implementation of housing and services including client referrals and intakes, case management and on-site clinical services, and employment and educational services
• Responsible for ensuring that the site remains secure, safe, clean, and well-maintained
• Ensure compliance with government contracts and regulations, organizational policies and procedures, and data reporting requirements
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate the program team and provide direct supervision and mentoring to three full-time staff
• Coordinate with the Director of Programs to implement work plans that tie to strategic plan and goals
• Coordinate with Clinical Director to ensure training and education for the program team and support of case management and clinical services for program participants

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree and five years of leadership experience in social services with a track record of providing integrated trauma-informed care       
• Ability to run all aspects of a program including implementation of services, evaluation and reporting, and basic budget management        
• Strong experience supervising, mentoring and coaching teams with a proven ability to build a strong culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration       
• Strong systems thinker with the ability to use data to evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and cultural competence including communication ability with a diverse population        
• Demonstrated commitment to the values of diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment
