With a primary focus on South Los Angeles, CHC works at the local, state, and national level to improve the health of under-served and marginalized communities.

Summary Description

The Project Administrator for Student Success is responsible for working closely with Manager of Learning for Equity and Chief Strategy Officer in addition to the entire L4E Team in stewarding the Learning for Equity program. This includes supporting, ensuring compliance of, and monitoring all programming associated the SCI’s Learning for Equity, as well as supporting and informing the development of the L4E Virtual Platform. This position will help to facilitate communication inter-departmentally to identify strategic partnerships and assist with project management of L4E-related contracts. L4E Project Coordinator will assist in the technical support and oversight as needed for all Learning for Equity projects including Incubator/Accelerator Program, CHYA, and Equity in the C-Suite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees adherence to CHC, SCI and L4E policies, procedures, and practices to assist in successful scaling of L4E and SCI programs
  • Support in the design and maintenance of L4E curriculum using CHC/SCI Model for Social and Community Change and other CHC approved methodologies
  • Supports the development and maintenance of a Virtual Platform in partnership with contractors
  • Arranging and maintaining event support for all SCI and or L4E hosted/sponsored events
  • Assist in the planning, design, and deployment of L4E capacity building trainings and strategies for individual stakeholders, community agencies, and community partnerships, alliances, etc.
  • Works closely with research and evaluation team and Manager, L4E to create and deploy evaluation plans to assess the effectiveness and impact of L4E programming and curriculum
  • Support efforts to identify and contract with academic partners offering faculty support and accredited certificates for L4E programs
  • Prepare, maintain, and/or track documentation of all L4E efforts, through database, Asana, and other reporting mechanisms as required
  • Prepares high-quality written materials for Manager, L4E to review
  • Possessing a strong understanding of CHC’s services, strategies, and values and how they relate to the goals and objectives of the SCI social enterprise
  • Keeping up to date with policy & systems change efforts and capacity building best practices and methods
  • Providing clear project updates, guidance, and support to team members using Asana (project management software)
  • Working in cross-functional teams to advance the growth and impact of the organization as well as further the mission and goals to advance social justice and equity
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.
  • Employee may be assigned additional or alternate duties as organizational needs require.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required typically required.

  • Bachelors required, Masters preferred in the following or similar: Public Health, Public Policy, Education, Community Organization, and 3-5 years of experience in community engagement/organizing/outreach or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A current CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Familiar with Asana Project Management Software, Outlook email, Office 365 software, Google Suite software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot required software and/or support team in sufficiently utilizing needed software.
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment should include Internet and email, copy machines, postage meter and telephone.
  • Ability to work with staff and community members from diverse racial, sexual orientation, gender identity and cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Professional demeanor, able to function independently and within a team.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well with remote teams.

Other Position Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel locally
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekend days
  • Occasional/weekly/monthly overnight travel required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: ability spend majority of workday utilizing computer screen/monitor. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
