OVERVIEW

The Case Manager will be in direct contact with refugees to assist them with resettlement activities. Weekend and night work is required for this position. The Case Manager should be prepared to multitask and work with minimal supervision. 

USCRI has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine policy. All employees must be fully vaccinated to work at any / all locations at USCRI.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide core and supplemental support services required by state, federal, and other contracts, including assisting clients with accessing services, referring clients to social services providers, providing orientation, locating housing, and developing and implementing plans to enhance household functioning and integration into the community;
  • Maintain accurate and complete case files by updating case management systems, reporting databases, and physical files; maintain confidentiality of information;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant contractual requirements; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in Farsi, Dari, or Pashto is required;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to organize and prioritize as well as work well in collaboration with others is required;
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with providers, vendors, and clients of diverse backgrounds is required;
  • Covid-19 Vaccination card mandatory;
  • Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, clean driving record and personal transportation; and
  • Must have dedication to the rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
