The Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) is a national non-profit organization based in New York City that works to advance parental choice in education. For more than 20 years, CSF has provided children of low-income families with tuition assistance in grades K-8, while working to expand educational opportunities for all children. CSF has a network of 20 partner programs in 24 cities and regions nationwide, including New Hampshire, where we serve students in grades K-12 through the Education Freedom Accounts (EFA) and Education Tax Credit Scholarships (ETC).
CSF seeks a focused, detail-oriented, and high-energy Operations Manager with excellent project management and communication skills, business process optimization experience, and problem-solving skills to support in the administration of the New York City (NYC) and New Hampshire (NH) scholarship and grant programs. The Program Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Scholarship Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the various scholarship program eligibility and awarding requirements, including the EFA and ETC program laws as set forth by the state of New Hampshire
- Manage volumes of highly sensitive data with the utmost discretion and care
- Acquire, configure, manage, and maintain support ticketing system and knowledge base
- Manage and maintain the program call centers and CSF phone systems
- Analyze current business processes and design and implement improved processes that increase the effectiveness of work flows and timely responses to applicants and providers
- Document processes and work flows and give clear and thoughtful instructions
- Develop and maintain internal program training manuals and assist in the training of current team members and new hires
- Ability to problem solve, have great decision-making skills
- Able to transform data into actionable, strategic decisions
- Other administrative and reporting tasks as assigned
- Demonstrate servant leadership across all levels of the organization, foster an atmosphere of problem solving and continuous improvement
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Business process optimization experience
- Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
- Demonstrate careful attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Familiarity with emerging tech tools and cloud systems
Education & other requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, computer science, education policy, social sciences, or related fields
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certifications a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience, not-for-profit experience a plus

Compensation includes a benefit package of health insurance, dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 5% match of salary, short- and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance coverage up to two times annual salary. CSF is the sponsor of voluntary AFLAC plans that employees can choose to contribute. CSF has a Qualified Transportation Expense plan that employees can use to pay for mass transit and parking expenses with tax-free contributions. This is a paid, fulltime hybrid position at the CSF office in Midtown Manhattan and from the employee’s home.
