ABOUT THE ROLE

 Cuso International is restructuring and committed to reinvesting in the HR function as part of its priority for this year. As a result of this, we are building our team. Joining our team will give you the opportunity to be part of building something exciting.

Our 4-person HR Team is tasked with guiding program delivery by equipping Cuso International's global teams to deliver marketplace value. This HR team ensures that every program is optimized for innovative and localized solutions.

As the HR Advisor Values and Talent Management, you'll report to the Global HR Head supporting to improve performance and employee engagement via the design and implementation of talent

management programs. You'll also support the design and delivery of health & wellness initiatives as well as events & other resources to support Cuso employees.

In this role, you'll have the exciting responsibility of overseeing the onboarding, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, including labor relations, and employee wellness for Cuso colleagues. You'll also work closely with the Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Specialist (our version of DEI&B) and the Manager, Safety and Security.

The HR Advisor, Values and Talent Management will participate in Talent Management related committees and represent the HR team in committee meetings like Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), Safety and Security meetings, Joint Job Evaluation & Classification Committee (JJECC), Social Committee and other HR related committees.

 We are looking for someone passionate about people and intentional about supporting teams, to join our growing and committed HR team.

We are looking for someone who understands talent management with a unique knack for problem- solving. Someone interested in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and has a firm grasp or understanding of adult learning and education, including online training modules.

The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, informed on ever-changing HR trends, and excited about bringing innovation to the team. They are interested in partnering with other departments in Cuso to design and implement new Talent Management strategies across board.

The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and able to work also in Spanish or French. They should know how to use data to make decisions.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Onboarding – Develop and update onboarding materials and learning process, including online learning modules, forms and policies. Manage all correspondence between Cuso and successful candidates. Send onboarding requests to the IT support/help desk. Plan onboarding meetings and activities with hiring managers ahead of new employees’ resumption. Distribute and collect onboarding documentation. Assign onboarding buddy. Track onboarding progress periodically (1 – 3 – 6 months) with line manager and onboarding buddy. Coordinate offboarding processes and conduct HR onboarding sessions and exit interviews
• Performance Management – Manage annual performance review cycle. Support in the periodic review of the performance management systems. Track and analyze the Annual Performance Review submission for HQ and all Country Program Offices. Support, design, implement and promote formal and informal appraisal sessions throughout the year.
• Learning and Development – Contribute to design of organizational learning and development strategy for Cuso and lead its implementation. Support leaders in monitoring performance/learning changes and evaluate results. Tracking L&D requests and activities. Gather, organize, and analyze information regarding the impact of learning solutions against KPIs, presenting the information in a meaningful way. Research new ways to make L&D more impactful.
• Succession Planning – Support in the development and management of succession plans for critical positions in the organization. Support leaders in identifying essential roles and talents. Develop learning plans in collaboration with line managers.
• Employee/Labour Relations – Manage employee files/information to ensure they are correct and up to date. Ensure the communication and accessibility of HR policies and procedures to employees. Represent HR in Joint Job Evaluation and Classification Committee for Job Description classification. Participate in HR- related meetings. Coordinate the activities of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee and provide related support as a participating member. Lead in Employee wellness initiatives/activities.

Research and assist with the preparation of employer proposals for collective bargaining.

• Partnerships – Work closely with the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion specialist on Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Initiatives. Work closely with Manager, Safety and Security on safeguarding issues as it relates to employees. Work closely with the Learning and Development Advisor on Learning and Development initiatives.
• General – Undertake specific additional responsibilities from time to time, as agreed upon with the Head, Global HR.

 Job Requirement:

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

•  A university degree in HR or related field
• 4 + years HR experience in Talent Management HR experience in a multicultural environment
• Experience in managing Performance Management Strong Event planning skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Strong Written and Verbal communication skills, ideally multilingual – English, French &
• Spanish Experience in coaching is an advantage
