About the position:

WES Global Talent Bridge is looking for a Program Manager responsible for WES Global Talent Bridge’s signature program, the Skilled Immigrant Integration Program (SIIP). This role is based in the State and Local Initiatives team and will drive external collaboration with state and local partners and stakeholders who are part of the 32+ member SIIP network. This role will manage key internal strategic planning, program development, and monitoring for this key initiative. The Program Manager reports to the Director of State and Local Initiatives but will work closely and collaboratively with all members of the State and Local Initiatives team in the U.S., as well as other WES Global Talent Bridge teams and WES departments. This role is remote, however may require periodic travel to WES’ U.S. office located in NYC as needed. Additionally, this role includes travel for site visits and national conferences.

Duties included but not limited to:

 Partnership Development and Management

  • Manage the Skilled Immigrant Integration Program (SIIP), including all program activities for a growing network of 32+ state and local communities, provide expertise and resources to network members and national partners working to promote refugee and immigrant workforce inclusion in their communities
  • Develop training, network activities presentations, proposals, budgets, and partnership agreements.
  • Coordinate closely within the State and Local Initiatives team, WES Global Talent Bridge, and across other WES departments to align on and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with SIIP partners to ensure progress towards service goals and objectives, including planning monthly SIIP cohort meetings, quarterly trainings, quarterly alumni network activities, and quarterly check-ins with technical experts. 
  • Manage relationships with external experts to deliver ongoing technical assistance and coaching. 
  • Contribute to the planning of the SIIP annual convening
  • Plan and lead ad hoc trainings and workshops related to workforce inclusion of immigrants and refugees.

 Training and Communication

  • Develop quarterly trainings for the SIIP network focused on a variety of topics around immigrant and refugee workforce inclusion in partnership with expert presenters.
  • Lead several calls a month with SIIP’s thematic cohorts, this includes coordinating with national experts on content and ensuring participation from SIIIP communities.
  • Coordinate closely with WES’s social impact communications team to elevate learnings and key takeaways from the SIIP network and ensure that SIIP activity is amplified in WES materials, social media, and storytelling.

 Strategic Initiatives, Planning, and Alignment                 

  • Manage specific work streams related to the State and Local Initiatives team in close collaboration with WES Global Talent Bridge colleagues and the larger Social Impact team to ensure alignment.
  • Develop quarterly reports on all SIIP activities for GTB’s Program Planning and Evaluation team.

Thought Leadership

  • Participate as a thought leader in the development of WES Global Talent Bridge’s content and resources that support workforce inclusion for immigrants and refugees
  • Serve as a program thought leader for the State and Local Initiatives team by supporting the development of team norms, file management, and onboarding.

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience with strong preference for experience in, training and program development in the workforce development, refugee resettlement and/or adult education sectors.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in conducting training and workshops for multi-sector audiences.
  • Exceptional project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers high-quality work, is comfortable managing up, and enjoys juggling dynamic priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that convey complex information to stakeholders and partners in compelling formats, including via PowerPoint slides.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to assess situations, break down complex problems, identify strategic tradeoffs, and apply learnings in a larger context.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility, and demonstrated experience building trust with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong command of technology tools, including Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive), Salesforce or other CRM systems, and Google Apps / G Suite.
