Stronger Together is an impact driven, not for profit organization that provides businesses with practical training, resources, business services and collaborative programs to achieve our wider vision of a world where all workers are recruited responsibly and have fair work, free from exploitation. We work across three continents and within multiple sectors with many organizations.  

We are looking for a highly committed, enthusiastic, and experienced individual to be our ‘Association, Lead’ to build on the foundation work completed to-date and take forward the launch and growth of a new trade association for agricultural labor providers in the US.  

Key tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Manage the growth of Association members and sponsors, ensuring an attractive package and service delivery which meets the organizational objectives and serves members and sponsors. Lead on and implement the recruitment strategy through various channels and partnerships. Maintain member communications.  
  • Increase visibility of the Association, its members and aims, growing a respected reputation with labor users, buyers, wider supply chain actors, government, and industry stakeholders to scale impact and progress objectives. Building and managing stakeholder relations with key contacts and industry initiatives, via initiating meetings, delivering presentations, and contributing to working groups etc.    
  • Providing technical and policy expertise into the Association’s guidance, training and resources and policy positions. 
  • Project manage this grant funded initiative ensuring deliverables are met on time and on budget and targets are achieved. Successfully collaborate with colleagues as required and secure sustainability for the Association beyond the 2-years. 
  • Deliver interactive training workshops and premium quality services to members/potential members to support them to embed responsible recruitment and fair work and tackle forced labor in their operations and supply chains.   

The exciting role is distinctive with opportunities to build and shape this new initiative, leading the strategic and operational implementation, to drive positive impact within the US recruitment industry through onboarding of members and amplification of its goals, manage diverse stakeholder relations, provide quality services to members, and generate sustainability. 

You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Head of Global Programs, US-based colleagues, and the rest of our growing team across the world.   

Who you are:  

  • An experienced senior level professional with an in-depth understanding of the US recruitment industry or other relevant industry and related technical expertise including in responsible recruitment, ethical labor practices and forced labor. 
  • The ideal candidate should have significant experience in the recruitment industry/similar role (min. 5 years’ experience), experience working in or with Farm Labor Contractors (FLCs), and building and managing diverse stakeholder relations including senior corporate contacts  
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing (English and Spanish), with experience in delivering high quality presentations, business-to-business training and services and confidence in representing the organization professionally at a variety of situations  
  • A professional who has worked with or within the fresh produce, agricultural, consumer goods, manufacturing sectors on responsible business behavior  
  • A strong project manager and great organizer, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those 
  • A motivated and enthusiastic worker, committed to organizational success, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders  
  • Someone who can lead strategically and implement operationally - a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.
