Staff Attorney- Immigration
Legal Services of New Jersey, with offices in Edison and Newark, is a non-profit that provides free civil legal assistance to low income New Jerseyans. We have several immediate openings for attorneys to provide legal representation to immigrant detainees. This position will require some travel to ICE detention facilities and immigration courts in Newark and Elizabeth, as well as to detention centers throughout the state. LSNJ is based in Edison with a small suite of offices in Newark within walking distance from Newark Penn Station.
The strongest candidates will have related experience, such as criminal defense, removal defense, or federal practice. Fluency in Spanish is an extremely important additional capacity.
