About the Role:
The Volunteer Services Manager will manage and support a staff team to champion and harness the passion of volunteers committed to AFTD’s mission. The Volunteer Services Manager will design and implement mechanisms to grow the number of volunteers engaged in AFTD’s mission and foster the development of volunteer leaders for the organization. They will work collaboratively with all departments to develop and maintain a flexible, scalable array of volunteer opportunities and roles that respond to organization and community needs. The Volunteer Services Manager will oversee the volunteer management cycle to recruit, screen, train, support, track and report on volunteer efforts. They will work closely with the Senior Director of Programs to inform strategic planning, develop and manage annual volunteer services goals and budget, and evaluate the impact of volunteer efforts. The Volunteer Services Manager will have extensive interaction with all aspects of the constituency, including Board members, key volunteers, and staff, and community partners and will work closely with these constituents, building and maintaining collaborative efforts to expand the engagement of volunteers from diverse backgrounds to advance the organization’s mission.
