JOB SUMMARY:

SEEC is currently seeking a Moving Out Program Manager to launch a Moving Out Program within the Supported Living Department. This new program will help adults with disabilities to create a plan for living independently with supports, so they are prepared holistically and with the right resources to succeed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate curiosity, innovative problem-solving skills, and a commitment to social justice. This position will regularly supervise 2-3 Support Coordinators and will operate in a hybrid model both virtually and in-person.

The Moving Out Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project development and management, including developing, implementing, and managing the program. The Manager will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to implementing a Moving Out curriculum for people supported and staff. They will pilot these innovative trainings, implement systems change activities and further collaborate in data collection and analysis as well as budget management. Experience with program design, person-centered practices, strong teamwork skills and the ability to conduct outreach and partner with stakeholders are essential. The Manager will be a curious, research-oriented strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, education, teaching or related field from an accredited University/College.
  • Proven experience with implementing a program or large-scale initiative involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive collaborative relationships and to network with external stakeholders.
  • Supervisory experience that demonstrates SEEC’s commitment to mentoring and professional development, preferred.
  • Experience developing and overseeing a program budget
  • Experience providing direct educational, special educational, or coaching supports to adults with disabilities, or related experience in the developmental disabilities field.
  • Understanding of person-centered and adult learner principles.
  • Proficient with technology including the Microsoft 365 suite, learning management systems, and client database systems such as iCare Manager.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills based upon principles of equity and inclusion.
  • Able to travel frequently to various project sites using their own vehicle or public transportation, modified in accordance with agency travel policy during COVID-19. 

Requirements unique to this role:

  • Commitment to work only for SEEC.  Moonlighting is not permitted.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply person-centered thinking and practices;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Desire to participate in ongoing professional development such as CQL, EARN, Open Future Learning, NADSP, MACS, etc.
  • Ongoing demonstration of internal motivation and responsiveness. 
  • Should be known for their ability to find solutions for supervisees, the people they support and their families.
