M-F 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. or 9am - 5pm 

 

Summary (description) 

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Clinical Director of Residential Programs in the delivery and oversight of Swords to Plowshares Clinical Programs. These programs serve veterans who have experienced homelessness. Duties of this position include oversight of clinical programs, quality review, and the safety and well-being of program participants. Programs represent a range of services including stabilization and permanent supportive housing. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Case conference facilitation with staff 
  • Group and Individual clinical supervision of assigned interns 
  • Oversight of treatment planning  
  • Oversight of staff charting and documentation 
  • Staff training and education 
  • Client assessment and referral overview as needed 
  • Overview of assignment of client caseloads as needed 
  • Crisis intervention and response across housing sites 
  • Liaison to referring clinicians and acting as clinical resource 
  • Coordination of treatment and other communications with community providers, to include the VA 
  • Ensures documentation needed for auditing by external funders are prepared and submitted timely and is in attendance for all audits involving supportive services funded contracts 
  • Acting as Supervisor at stabilization sites when needed 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Requirements 

Education 

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field 
  • Training in the use of DSM V in order to develop provisional diagnosis. 
  • Training and familiarity with treatment protocols, especially those related to persons with history of trauma, substance abuse, and mental illness.  

Experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience providing counseling and other services to disadvantaged or otherwise “hard to serve” clients. 
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to associates registered with the CA BBS (ASW, AMFT, APCC) 

   

Qualifications 

  • License required (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) 
  • CA Driver’s license  
  • Clean driving record (ability to drive company vehicle) 

Skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills, including conflict resolution, crisis intervention, quality assurance, staff development 
  • Effective time management skills are a must for this position. 
  • Good analytical and organizational ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory. 
  • Computer (PC) literate in general office functions such as word processing, email and preparation of spreadsheets. 

 

Salary 

  • $95,000 (Base)
