Wanting to make a difference in the lives of children with delays and disabilities and their families regardless of their ability to pay for services? That’s the beauty of our non-profit. We exist to do just that. We are looking for a passionate leader with a solid understanding of child development, significant experience providing therapy to young children, especially within a clinic setting (speech therapy, occupational therapy, or physical therapy), experience leading a team, strong leadership skills, and experience with reimbursement from insurance companies.


The Warren Center’s clinic program, for children three to seven years old, provides therapy services as well as support and education to over 200 families at our three clinics located in Richardson (headquarters), Carrollton, and Garland. 

DESCRIPTION

The Clinic Director is responsible for the daily operations and management of the clinic including the administration, supervision, and coordination of the child and family activities of the direct service staff members at each office. This position also effectively supports the Chief Program Officer and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures related to client services within the clinic to support the overall mission and purpose of The Warren Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the development, expansion, implementation, and maintenance of the clinic program that meets clinical best practices fits within the mission and vision of The Warren Center, and considers evolving client and societal needs.
  • Establish annual and long-term goals for the clinic, under the guidance of the Chief Program Officer and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Create, oversee and successfully manage the annual clinic budget.
  • Ensures staffing is appropriate for day-to-day operations. Consults with Chief Program Officer to select well-qualified Clinic program staff. Ensures effective and consistent orientation and training.
  • Oversees the coordination of staff activities for the direct delivery of therapeutic services in order to best meet all goals, outcomes, and needs. Ensures efficient team planning, timely documentation, accurate data, and exemplary therapy services.
  • Supervises clinic program staff/team leads by providing direction, input, and feedback. Completes the performance management process and conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports. Supports the team’s professional growth through team meetings, observation, and individual consultation.
  • Oversees the coordination of referrals, evaluations, billing, and insurance needs including reauthorizations, timeliness of documentation, and credentialing of therapy staff. Ensures efficient and effective client and visitor experience.
  •  Ensures client satisfaction, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and developing process improvements to prevent recurrences.
  •  Evaluate the training needs and performance of all direct service staff members. Recommends and develops training to meet identified needs, oversees implementation, and supervises for quality and consistency. Dispenses guidance and direction, and upholds the mission, vision, and core values of The Warren Center.
  • Effectively communicates to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and consistency and coordinates between teams, offices, divisions, and departments to attain program objectives.
  •  Ensures compliance with all agency and program-related policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards, HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Acts as a member of the agency’s leadership team. Participates in professional growth activities designed to enhance supervisory skills and industry knowledge. Models best practices and fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment.
  •  Informs Chief Program Officer of client, staff, and community needs. Represents the agency in appropriate community organizations.
  • Provides services, according to credentials, to ensure that staffing requirements are met.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Program Officer relevant to their site and program coordination and implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education/Experience – Master’s degree in a related field, preferably speech-language pathology, 5+ years experience providing therapy, and 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • License – Appropriate ongoing current state licensure (and ASHA CCC’s for SLP).
  • Language Ability - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and analyze documents and respond to questions from managers, clients, employees, and the general public.
  •  Reasoning Ability - Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret instructions, and solve practical problems in both standard and non-standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, browsers, and data management software.
  •  Personal Skills - Ability to deal with professionals at a cross-functional level. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

  •   The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear and see.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Work is performed in an office shared by several people, therapeutic rooms, play yard, and other community locations as needed.
  •  Work includes driving to and from a variety of settings within the program’s service area.
