    Position Overview

    Wilshire Boulevard Temple is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Content Manager to lead the maintenance and management of five newly launched websites for the Temple, its schools, and camps. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our exciting rebranding initiative, helping to shape and steward the digital expression of Wilshire Boulevard Temple’s mission, values, and community engagement. The Online Content Manager will focus on the actual building of Tier 1 and Tier 2 web pages and layout templates, working closely with other team members to build out and populate pages. Strong project management skills are required to keep the team on track, gather content, and ensure timely and high-quality website launches during the building phase and maintain our online presence with excellence post-launch. Experience with the Finalsite platform or the ability to learn it quickly is highly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Management (Website Build Phase):

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the external website developer (Finalsite) to ensure timely production of all pages.
    • Gather and manage content from internal teams.
    • Coordinate the creation, review, and approval of web pages with internal teams and contributors.
    • Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and the project stays on track.
    • Build Tier 1 and Tier 2 web pages and layout templates.
    • Facilitate training of staff to develop internal skills for day to day maintenance of basic tasks.
    • Serve as a liaison between the internal team and Finalsite’s project manager, facilitating smooth communication.
    • Ensure all website elements reflect the warmth, engagement, and trusted personality of the Temple’s rebranding effort.

    Post-Launch Content Management:

    • Maintain and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia, to ensure accuracy and relevance.
    • Monitor website performance and user experience, implementing improvements as needed.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to manage seasonal updates, event announcements, news stories, and new initiatives.
    • Facilitate ongoing training and skills workshops for staff.
    • Optimize content for SEO to improve website visibility and engagement.
    • Ensure the websites comply with accessibility standards (e.g., ADA, WCAG).
    • Maintain a content calendar to schedule regular updates and ensure fresh, engaging content.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Train team members on using the CMS (e.g., Finalsite) for content updates and approvals.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues, working with developers for complex fixes.
    • Provide regular performance reports and recommendations for content strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Project Management, or a related field.
    • Experience:
      • 3-5 years in content management or digital project management roles.
      • Experience managing large-scale website projects or working in a nonprofit, educational, or faith-based organization is a plus.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in CMS platforms (preferably Finalsite or similar systems).
      • Strong understanding of SEO and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
      • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and accessibility compliance.
    • Project Management Skills:
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders effectively.
      • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or Monday.com).
    • Soft Skills:
      • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
      • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
