COLLEGE FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION

As a VISTA with College for Social Innovation (CFSI), members help the organization and its 12 college and university partners – in partnership with more than 100 Boston anti-poverty nonprofits – better serve low-income and BIPOC students through new workshops, budget resources, and by providing access to excellent new internship placements and a community of anti-poverty and other social justice organizations. At the same time, members will help CFSI and its partners enroll and serve about 165 low-income and/or BIPOC college students (in FY21 and FY22) by building new and deepened partnerships, developing and piloting new pre-career workshops and training student ambassadors to deliver these workshops at scale, and designing creative collateral and social media campaigns that communicate the career-changing potential of proven high impact learning opportunities such as “Semester in the City”. The VISTA position is a one-year service commitment with a non-negotiable living allowance starting July 2022 in Boston, MA.
