JCFS Respite Program provides support to families caring for children, youth, and adults with intellectual and development disabilities. Our respite program takes a supportive, nurturing and therapeutic approach, combined with fun, social and recreational activities. Our mission is to provide help, healing, and caring services infused with Jewish values to strengthen lives in our community.

Position Description:

The Respite Supervisor will coordinate group, individual, and voucher respite activities for families with children/youth/adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This person will:

  • Be a primary contact for families seeking/receiving respite services
  • Oversees implementation of an array of respite services
  • Responsible for completing clinical and program documentation
  • Supervises part-time direct care staff, including engaging in all aspects of the recruitment, hiring, and training process
  • Assist with coordination and implementation of special events outside of typical respite activities

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or other related field from an accredited university or college, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years’ experience
  • At least 1 year experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • QIDP credentials a plus
  • Reliable transportation/ability to get to work locations
  • Ability to work on-site/in-person at least 60% of the time
  • Must be able to work on Sunday’s

New hires would need to be fully vaccinated with 1 or 2 doses and booster and provide their card upon hire OR begin receiving the booster within 2 weeks of being hired and participate in weekly COVID testing until fully vaccinated OR provide documentation for an ADA or religious exemption and participate in weekly COVID testing.
