The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and effective execution of the No Kid Hungry New York (NKH NY) campaign. This includes developing strategies for aligning in-state staff and internal departments at Share Our Strength headquarters, managing reporting and tracking procedures, and managing relationships with key external partners across New York. Under the direction of the Director, the Program Manager will lead efforts to ensure stakeholders such as elected officials, school districts, donors, and other partners are regularly updated and engaged in our work. The Program Manager will also track maintain data and grant impact reporting, develop sustainable tracking processes for grants, and oversee partnership plans to ensure terms are being met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTACTS
Has regular interaction with school districts, state agencies, No Kid Hungry partner organizations and consultants and with the internal Programs department, Communications and Shared Support teams.
SUPERVISION
This individual has no supervisory responsibilities, and reports to the Director, No Kid Hungry New York.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office work environment with up to 25% regional travel post-pandemic travel restrictions.
QUALIFICATIONS
FLSA CLASSIFICATION
This position is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act and is ineligible for overtime pay.

Share Our Strength offers Open Access HMO and Open Access POS medical coverage to full-time employees. You are eligible on the first of the month following your start date. A percentage of the monthly premium is paid by Share Our Strength.

Share Our Strength offers the PPO dental coverage for full-time employees. You are eligible on the first of the month following your start date. A percentage of the monthly premium is paid by Share Our Strength.

The premium for the employee is funded 100% by Share Our Strength. Full-time employees who wish to add spouse and/or dependents to the plan may do so without cost.
Group Life Insurance: (Provided by Lincoln)
Share Our Strength, provides group term life insurance up to 1 time your salary to $50,000.00 and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Share Our Strength pays 100% of the premium. However you do have the option to buy additional insurance up to $500,000.
401(k) (Provided by Principal)
Share Our Strength offers a 401(k) plan for employees aged 21 and over. This is a tax deferred Annuity. After one year of service, you qualify for a discretionary match of 50% of the first 16% of pay if actively deferring.
Short-Term Disability Insurance: (Provided by Lincoln)
Each active, full-time employee is eligible the first of the month following 90 days of employment for Short-Term Disability insurance. The premium for coverage is paid 100% by Share Our
Strength. An employee is paid at 60% of their weekly earnings ($1500 maximum benefit).
Long-Term Disability Insurance: (Provided by Lincoln)
Each active, full-time employee is eligible the first of the month following 90 days of employment for Long-Term Disability insurance. The premium for coverage is paid 100% by Share Our
Strength. An employee is paid at 60% of their monthly earnings ($6000 maximum benefit).
Flexible Spending Accounts
Share Our Strength offers Flexible Spending Accounts for medical and child-care expenses. Contributions to the Flexible Spending account are made on a pretax basis.
Direct Deposit
Employees interested in having their paychecks deposited directly into their personal bank account must submit a voided check with routing and account number to the Benefits Administrator.
Commuter Benefits
Employees are eligible to set aside pre-tax dollars for commuting costs including public transit and parking.
Vacation
All full-time employees are entitled to paid vacation. The annual amount of eligible vacation days is based on number of years worked. In addition, Share Our Strength offices are closed between
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Sick days
All full-time employees are entitled to a maximum of eight (8) paid sick days during each twelve-month period commencing on the date of hire. Employees are allowed to rollover sick leave each year with a maximum accumulation of 160 hours (20 days).
Personal days
A maximum of four (4) days or 32 hours is allotted for personal days.
Bereavement Days
Up to three (3) days, at the discretion of a Director, may be allowed for the death of a family member.
Holidays
Share Our Strength observes all federal holidays.
Community Service
Share Our Strength supports its staff by providing paid time off for community service up to eight (8) hours per calendar year. Employees must successfully complete their first 90 days of employment and will need supervisor approval before being eligible for this benefit.
Jury Duty
If an employee is called to serve on jury duty, he or she should notify his or her supervisor immediately. All employees will be paid while on jury duty.
Parental Leave
All full-time employees are entitled to a maximum of sixteen (16) paid weeks off for Parental Leave after nine (9) months of full-time continuous employment.
Student Loan Relief Program
All full-time staff employees who have completed at least ninety (90) days of service and with performance meeting or exceeding expectations are eligible to participate in the Student Loan Relief Program. Eligible staff members may be considered for loan repayment assistance up to $1,500 per fiscal year, with a $7,500 lifetime maximum.
