PathForward was founded in 1992 as A-SPAN to serve meals to unsheltered individuals. Today, we are an innovative, industry-leading organization with a full continuum of services to meet the needs of adults experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to transform lives by delivering housing solutions and pathways to stability for people experiencing homelessness. Programs include street outreach, Day and Drop-In services, year-round shelter, multiple housing programs, Homelessness Prevention, and innovative medical services. Wrapping around all of these programs is case management, nursing services and mental healthcare. OVERALL OBJECTIVE:
PathForward seeks a highly effective and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic and high-performing development team as our Development Coordinator. The coordinator provides critical administrative support in coordination and delivery of development activities and campaigns by managing the administrative functions associated with all fundraising efforts leading to the identification, cultivation and stewardship of our institutional and individual donors, allowing the Development Team to grow our donor base and make better data-driven solicitation strategies.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator’s responsibilities include maintaining our DonorPerfect database to ensure positive stewardship of all donors, cultivating gifts from new and existing institutional and individual donors through prospect research, writing and submitting grant applications and reports, and providing donor support when needed. This position will be an integral part of philanthropy for PathForward’s team.

Employee Benefits
Path Forward offers a wide variety of benefit offerings to full time employees. Part time employees who are regularly scheduled to work 20 hours per week or more are not eligible for benefits.
Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
Coverage is effective the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. PathForward offers six rich Medical Plans in the Kaiser Permanente and Cigna networks, aimed to fit the needs of everyone! HSA plans are offered through both Kaiser and Cigna while typical HMO plans are provided through both carriers as well. HMO plans are tied to a NonStop card which will cover all in-network medical expenses up to your out-of pocket maximum (prescriptions, deductibles, co-pays, etc). PathForward will pay the full individual premium for HSA medical coverage through Kaiser for full-time employees and will share the cost of the other Kaiser and Cigna plans with eligible staff members. Employees who wish to include family dependents will pay the additional pre-tax premiums. Dental and Vision plans are available for employees and their family dependents.
Basic Life Insurance
Basic life coverage of $50,000 is provided, 100% free, to all eligible staff members.
Voluntary Benefits Options
Optional Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability benefits are available to full time employees on a voluntary basis. Premiums are employee paid.
Paid Time Off
We encourage our staff to take the necessary time needed away from work to rest and recharge when needed! Full-time employees will accrue paid time off from the first day worked, below is the breakdown PTO granted in a calendar year per year of service:
Regular Employees
0 – 1 year 20 days
1 – 2 years 20 days
3 – 4 years 30 days
5 + years 35 days
Director-level Employees
0 – 1 year 25 days
1 – 2 years 25 days
3 – 4 years 30 days
5 + years 35 days
You must work at PathForward for a full year to be eligible to carry over PTO. Regular employees can carry over up to 80 hours and Director-level employees can carry over up to 120 hours of PTO.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
All employees are eligible to use our EAP services free of charge. Services include short term counseling for personal or work-related issues and specialized resources such as financial and legal referrals. These resources are completely confidential as we understand the difficulty many of us face in balance life and work obligations. At PathForward, we want our employees to feel support both in and out of the workplace.
Retirement Program
PathForward offers a 403(b) retirement program managed by AmericanFunds. If an employee chooses to enroll, they can choose to contribute to the 403(b) plan pre or post-tax. Upon completion of one year of employment, depending on its financial situation, PathForward will match the employee’s contribution percentage up to 5%. For the past five years, the employer contribution has been 5%.
Holidays
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Juneteenth Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day are the holidays recognized by PathForward.
Training and Professional Development
PathForward values continuing education and the professional development on our staff. Subject to available funds, advance notice, and approval, Employees can attend a course, conference, seminar or other training program be in direct support of their career goals at the organization. We also hold semi-annual staff retreats and provide ongoing internal training to ensure all staff members feel supported and well equipped to do their jobs!
