Tuesday's Children seeks an experienced professional who will lead Tuesday's Children’s outreach and development in the Mid-Atlantic Region, with special attention to Washington DC, Fayetteville and Jacksonville, N.C. This role will encompass relationship building with regional partners and stakeholders in collaboration with the Development team, as well as family event and program execution, in partnership with Tuesday’s Children’s Program team.
This person will report to the Director of the Gold Family Programs.
Essential Functions and Job Duties:
Providing long-term support to the military Gold Star community is the goal of Tuesday’s Children’s Gold Star Family Programs. This role includes working with family members in this region, with assistance with the program team to identify needs, evaluate impact, and engage family members into our programs and services.
At the heart of Tuesday's Children's long-term healing model is earning and maintaining the trust of the family members that we serve though periodic family engagement events. It’s through these events that we are able to promote our programs and services to Gold Star Families as well as to recruit families to participate in same. This role would include the planning and execution of family events in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Outreach, Development and Volunteer Engagement
Engage and cultivate existing and new donors in the region, as well as expand the reach of Tuesday’s Children in Mid-Atlantic Region. Donor outreach includes corporate, foundation and individual donors and will be done in partnership with the Development Team for strategy and coordination. Additionally, an important aspect of donor recruitment is engaging volunteers for our mentoring programs, both the youth mentoring program and career mentoring program.
· Maintain database
· Interface with Marketing Team to coordinate efforts to publicize programming
· Attend tabling events to share Tuesday’s Children mission and encourage volunteerism in the Mid-Atlantic Region
· Other tasks/duties/responsibilities as assigned
· Occasional night and weekend travel
Undergraduate degree, an advanced degree preferred
5+ years of experience with a non-profit, mentoring experience a plus
Strong project management skills coordinating multi-faceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
Strong verbal & written communications skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Experience within a program-based organization, experience working with youth and military communities a plus
Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Constant Contact a plus
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Tuesday's Children's mission
