Contract Program Associate, K-12 Programs

Endurance22: The Search for Shackleton's Lost Ice Ship

Department: K-12 Programs

Do you have a passion for global education? Are you ready to support K-12 classrooms as they embark on virtual exchange programs and communicate with travelers around the world? Are you looking to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a small team of people who share these passions? Reach the World (RTW), a virtual exchange nonprofit based in New York City, is seeking motivated applicants for an immediate Contract Program Associate position to support RTW’s programs that connect explorers to K-12 classrooms in a one-to-many format.

Reach the World’s one-to-many virtual exchange journeys are with individuals in exploration and travel-related fields who will share their experiences abroad with multiple classrooms at a time (e.g., many classrooms connecting with one journey). Classrooms will connect with these expeditions through livestreams and recorded, closed video calls to make them accessible to as many classrooms as possible

Specifically, you will support the exciting Endurance22 expedition, a major expedition to the Weddell Sea in Antarctica to search for explorer Ernest Shackleton's lost ice ship, the Endurance. Learn more, here!

Note that this is a contract opportunity from January - June 2022.
