LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER - PART TIME

Purpose: To provide part-time clinical social work services to the Bronx/Yonkers Irish and Irish-American community. To work collaboratively to oversee existing social support programs. The position includes a variety of responsibilities including individual, and group programs. The position requires 3 days with a willingness to provide evening therapy services if needed.

1. Conduct intake assessment for social service inquiries. Provide individual/family therapy as well as addiction counseling/referral as clinically indicated. This includes psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention and/or referrals.
2. LCSW will manage the delivery of the “Young at Heart” seniors program. This includes providing social emotional support as needed to participants, case management, coordination of social activities and oversight of weekly lunch programs.
3. This individual will function as part of a collaborative team, supporting the overall mission of the AICC organization.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The candidate will: a) report directly to the Executive Director, b) collaborate with Social Care/Community Coordinator, and c) attend staff meetings as required.
2. Maintain private clinical records in accordance with The Confidentiality Act and HIPPA privacy rules.
3. Compile statistics on clinical hours, demographics and outcomes on a monthly basis.
4. Work with the Executive Director as needed on public relations (social media) content relevant to mental health initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

1. Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and NY State Certification. (LCSW).
2. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the field required. Training or experience in addiction counseling desirable.
3. Malpractice insurance.
4. Experience working with mental health issues and with people of all ages.
5. Strong communication and organization skills, including some computer skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the Aisling team. Willing to participate in occasional community and/or fundraising annual events.

This is an on-site, part-time position. Position is 21 hours per week with 1 regular day, 9 - 5pm and two days flexible, (offering evening hours if required). Salary commensurate with experience within the range of 38 - 40K ($35 per hour).
