About NYRP

New York Restoration Project (NYRP) believes that access to nature is a fundamental human right. We work to ensure that all New Yorkers have equitable access to green space. For over 25 years, NYRP has invested in and stewarded parks and gardens throughout the city’s five boroughs to strengthen communities, promote food sovereignty, and counter environmental and social injustice.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, the Corporate Giving Manager (CGM) plays a vital role in raising philanthropic funds to support NYRP's mission and is a key liaison to connect thousands of volunteers annually from NYRP’s corporate partners to our greening work across New York City. The CGM will be responsible for pitching NYRP to prospective corporate partners and effectively managing existing partnerships by leading stewardship initiatives and ensuring fulfillment of benefits packages. The CGM will coordinate, schedule, plan and execute all volunteer engagements citywide, working with partner representatives and internal stakeholders to identify suitable projects and sites and manage all logistics to ensure their successful execution. The CGM will manage the immediate follow up after each event as well as annual impact reporting to ensure volunteers are properly stewarded after their engagements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the continued development and implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy.

• Maintain a portfolio of current and potential corporate supporters through regular research and rolling calendar of application deadlines; field inquiries for information on partnership opportunities as needed.

• Create and revise custom partnership pitches, funding applications, and promotional tools.

• Track and fulfill partner benefit package elements (e.g., employee volunteer days, cause marketing, etc.) and report to partners on program performance and benefits delivery.

• Coordinate and execute all logistics for corporate employee engagement activations in NYRP parks and gardens and at partner sites for projects ranging from 10-100+ participants; provide excellent customer service to the corporate partner and smooth internal coordination with other NYRP departments.

• Process agreements, calendar invitations, invoices, waivers, material orders, and other paperwork related to the sponsorships and events.

• Collect photos, videos, and other content to promote NYRP’s partners on social media.

• Participate in the planning and execution of donor cultivation and fundraising events.

• Support the Advancement team in the management of donor and partner portfolios in Raiser's Edge and other Organizational systems.

• Additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of related experience in corporate giving/corporate sponsorship and/or working in nonprofit development.

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

• Strong ability to multi-task and careful attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information appropriately.

• Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite; experience working in Canva and/or Adobe InDesign preferred.

• Experience with a donor database (e.g., Raiser’s Edge) preferred; willingness to learn if needed.

• Willingness to travel throughout NYC; some flexibility for weekend and evening work is required for all members of NYRP’s staff.

• Interest in non-profit management, fundraising and special events.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds (unloading materials and carrying equipment is a common part of the role) while at corporate events.

• Proof of COVID vaccination is required to be considered for the position
