This position will focus on building community throughout the Midwest by leveraging staff, partnerships, and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have experience connecting and driving grassroots community initiatives, will have talent and project management experience, strong and dynamic leadership skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the savvy to initiate and execute growth opportunities with a significant degree of autonomy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With support from regional and national staff, significantly expand our sober active community in Chicago and the whole Midwest region
  • Engage in frequent stakeholder communications, initiating and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Effectively supervise and mentor the Midwest staff, focusing on programmatic goals and professional growth in a collaborative environment
  • Oversee general daily administrative needs and tasks of the Chicago chapter and monitor program standards across the Midwest Phoenix chapters
  • Lead the Midwest team in creating and meeting quarterly programmatic goals throughout the region
  • Lead presentations for outreach and partnership development
  • Ensure all events (fitness, boxing, socials, etc.) as needed in a safe, supportive and nurturing throughout the Midwest region and empower the team to constantly improve event performance
  • Availability to participate in face-to-face meetings up to 50% of the time as well as be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Complete other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience (partnerships, or program management, leadership, etc.)
  • Program management and supervisory experience
  • Excellent community building skills and ability to forge mutual beneficial partnerships with mission-aligned partners
  • Skillful at running team meetings and creating/sharing group presentations
  • Proficiency with tech platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Asana
  • Superior data analytics skills and ability to interpret spreadsheets and data dashboards
  • Comfortable interacting with senior-level staff as well as providing solution-focused recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Track record of exceeding program outcomes at a previous nonprofit or similar type organization
  • Experience managing people and providing personalized mentorship
