    • Are you a natural leader with the ability to unite diverse organizations and stakeholders around a common goal?

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to serve as our Director of Collaborative Initiatives!

    Who We Are:

Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a leading community-based nonprofit organization committed to improving maternal and child health in Pennsylvania and Delaware. For over 40 years, we've empowered families by addressing the social and racial inequities that impact their ability to thrive. At MCC, we envision a future where every parent can birth with dignity, parent with autonomy, and raise healthy children.

    The Role:

As the Director of Collaborative Initiatives, you will spearhead coalitions of community-based organizations, serving as a vital link between these groups and MCC’s Policy & Advocacy team. You will guide and support efforts to create equitable networks of care for families, helping service providers tackle structural racism and promote social justice.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead Coalitions: Provide strategic leadership to coalitions, ensuring their goals align with improving maternal and child health through community collaboration.
      • Foster Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with coalition members and partners, facilitating collaboration, and promoting knowledge-sharing through events and workshops.
      • Strategic Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, managing timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure coalition initiatives are successful and impactful.
      • Support Stakeholder Development: Identify opportunities for capacity-building within coalition members and partners, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
      • Drive Impact: Collaborate with partners to develop evaluation frameworks, ensuring coalitions have measurable outcomes that drive systemic change.

    What You Bring:

      • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading coalitions, partnerships, or collaborative networks, particularly in the public health sector.
      • Maternal and Child Health Expertise: Strong understanding of maternal and child health issues, with knowledge of relevant policies and interventions.
      • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and resources to achieve project goals.
      • Commitment to Equity: Deep commitment to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in maternal and child health, with a focus on addressing racial and systemic disparities.
      • Excellent Communication: Strong ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate effective, collaborative processes.

    What You’ll Need:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. A combination of equivalent education, experience and training considered in lieu of degree.
      • At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
      • Ability to travel within Southeastern PA, with occasional travel across Pennsylvania.

    Why Join MCC?

      • Hybrid Work Environment: Flexibility to balance remote work and in-office collaboration.
      • Competitive Salary: Commensurate with experience.
      • Mission-Driven Work: Be part of a team making a meaningful impact on the lives of parents and babies affected by racial and social inequities.
