The Center on Violence and Recovery (CVR) is dedicated to advancing knowledge on the causes and consequences of violence and trauma, and developing solutions that foster healing among individuals, families, and communities. We innovate by developing cutting-edge solutions to promote healing and transformation, study by conducting research on critical issues related to trauma and restoration, and educate by offering trainings, workshops, and lectures on topics related to trauma and healing.
CVR is seeking an energetic and well-organized self-starter looking to work for a small academic research center, specifically to help advance our work on restorative justice and domestic violence and to develop a national strategy. The ideal candidate will be a creative, independent, flexible, collegial, and detail-oriented person with interests in research, program development, outreach, and community-based work. The Assistant Research Scientist/Program Coordinator is a member of the CVR team. The Assistant Research Scientist/Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization, implementation and evaluation of restorative programs in ten designated communities. The Program Coordinator will lead on-the-ground efforts, develop resources, analyze program data, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful program outcomes.

This is a one-year fixed-term position. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the compensation for this position is $70,000 - $74,000 .
