    Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the philanthropic heart of Broadway, is looking for a social media savant to play a key role in ideating and creating social posts, building Broadway Cares’ online presence, fostering community engagement and amplifying the impact of our work to a growing audience.

    Reporting to the communications content manager, the social media specialist will oversee social content strategy, community management and performance analysis across platforms to ensure alignment with Broadway Cares’ mission, build engagement and drive donations and ticket sales for Broadway Cares events.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Facilitate weekly social media strategy meetings: set agendas, actively participate in discussions and implement ideas generated during meetings to ensure a consistent, fun and impactful presence online
    • Create content: collaborate with communications content manager to ideate and create engaging social media posts, with a focus on crafting effective, social-friendly copy
    • Oversee content creation and scheduling: collaborate with video editor and graphic designers to create engaging posts that reflect the Broadway Cares brand and voice
    • Manage community engagement: respond to comments, messages and tags to build authentic relationships with followers and foster a supportive community online
    • Track and analyze social media metrics: compile monthly reports on engagement, conversions and growth, providing thoughtful insights to refine strategies
    • Grow Broadway Cares’ platforms: develop, implement, track and report a growth strategy across socials
    • Stay updated on trends and tools: monitor developments in social media and digital marketing to keep Broadway Cares connected with its audiences

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of professional experience in social media
    • Passion for the mission of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and an appreciation for the performing arts
    • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with attention to tone, voice and audience
    • Proven ability to create engaging content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok and Bluesky
    • Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools, including Meta Business Suite, TikTok Insights and Google Analytics
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Monday and Google Drive; a base understanding of video editing software is a plus
    • Flexibility, drive and a sense of humor
    • An affection for dogs
