AmeriCorps Concrete Jungle Program Expansion and Communications VISTA

As the Communications and Program Expansion VISTA, the AmeriCorps member will primarily support CJ’s produce purchasing program, communications, and volunteer management. We are committed to donating our produce in the most accessible and culturally appropriate ways possible and are looking to continue building its capacity. In 2020, we began purchasing excess, imperfect produce from GA Farmers to redistribute to other feeding programs. We are continuing to grow the Produce Buyer Club by identifying more farmers with imperfect produce, more organizations that need it, and viable ways to scale the program. We are constantly striving to improve how we create strategy and structure around communication activities to grow, educate, and engage our audience and stakeholders. The member will support strategies to grow our Produce Buyers Club, refine CJ’s communication goals and strategies and identify and execute ways to engage new and existing volunteers.
