FORP is now poised to move to the next level.

of the city. FORP works with the city, park user groups, neighborhood associations, community

Today, the value of parks to community health and well-being are widely recognized, new capital investments and programs are being planned for the park, and FORP is ready to move from an all-volunteer Board with two part-time program staff, to a more established and formal organization with new leadership. In addition, Rouge Park is set to celebrate its 100-year anniversary, the City of Detroit plans to embark on a vision plan for the park, and the City of Detroit and Pistons are constructing a $20 million state-of-the-art recreation center to bring needed resources to the community
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and values-driven leader to co-create the next phase of the organization and lead in this period of growth.
